Our Parent Community
The school maintains many open and varied channels of communication, and actively encourages parents to liaise closely with teaching staff and to play a part in the education of their children.
St. Nicholas encourages in person meetings with teachers and the Headteacher by appointment to discuss pupil progress and to enable feedback. Informal 'meetings' and the opportunity to pass on information occur at the beginning and end of the day when pupils are dropped off and collected from school by parents.
We hold regular Parent-Teacher-Consultations (PTCs).
St. Nicholas also communicates important information via email, letter, Bulletins, and text messages.
In addition to the Parent-Teacher-Association (PTA), which meets to plan fundraising events, St. Nicholas also invites parents to Focus Group meetings to discuss specific educational issues such as the curriculum, homework, extra-curricular activities (etc); these serve to provide information to parents and to enable parents to express their views to the school.
