St. Nicholas School is a small, non-denominational independent preparatory school for boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven.
The School, which was established in 1937, is situated in a well-established residential area. The school buildings consist of a large converted detached house, extended to accommodate the classrooms. There is a well-equipped playground with a safety surface and a lawned area, which provides ample space for play.
At St. Nicholas School we aim to:
- provide a broad and balanced education that promotes the pupils’ personal, social and physical development as well as their academic skills;
- ensure that the pupils are well equipped to perform to the best of their abilities in examinations for selection to secondary schools;
- provide a caring, nurturing environment with a family atmosphere where the children can be happy and develop their self-confidence, enthusiasm and independence to succeed;
- encourage a high academic standard incorporating traditional values that enable our children to grow as individuals and achieve their full potential whatever their talents may be.
